Arrrgghhhhh. My husband's company just laid off 40% of their employees. As one of the newer hires, yup, my husband was included in the conference call where 20 were laid off.
So this will be fun. Not!!! 2007 was supposed to be the year no one died, and the job front stopped with the drama for Robert. Fuck.

they laid him off in a CONFERENCE CALL???? Sweet fancy Jesus! (as my friend luckybuzz likes to say) That is COLD. I cant help but think this is a good thing in the big picture if they did that. Im so sorry though buddy. I keep waiting for the year to get better too.
Not as bad as it sounds as his office is at home, and he is on the road LOL.
Plus his boss was with him. Did not know about it. Guess what, his conference call was next. Then the VPs conference call (the husband's bosses boss) was next.
I knew something was up, as it was recently discovered that the company had been for sale. The real estate and lending market in general the way it is, something's gotta give.
